Campbell's Redesign Its Iconic Soup Can for the First Time in 50 Years

For the first time in 50 years, the Campbell Soup Company is updating the design of its iconic Campbell’s soup can labels.

While the can retains the cursive “Campbell’s” script that’s based on Joseph Campbell’s signature and the red and white color scheme, the shadow has been dropped and the typeface denoting the flavor of the soup has been modernized. Other updates include a simplified “SOUP” marking and a fleur-de-lis made with a mirrored capital “C” borrowed from “Campbell’s.”

“We’ve been on a journey to reimagine this iconic brand and appeal to new generations of consumers who are cooking at home more than ever, while still honoring our rich history,” says Linda Lee, Chief Marketing Officer, Meals & Beverages, Campbell Soup Company.

On top of the new labels, Campbell’s has also teamed up with Sophia Chang to produce 100 NFT art pieces themed around the iconic soup label where proceeds will go to Feeding America. These redesigned cans have already started making their way to grocery stores across the United States.
